Baby\u2019s First Year! <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A Baby Shower Poem I wrote for a friend on May 12, 2012 after experiencing my daughter\u2019s first year. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Baby\u2019s first year will go by so fast. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Hold your little one tight because it won\u2019t last.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Baby (Last Name) will be walking & talking before too long.<\/em><\/strong>You will find yourself rhyming or singing her a funny song.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>There will be so many memorable firsts. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Things she will do to make your heart burst.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Rolling over and cutting teeth.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Things she will learn to climb beneath.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Take pictures as often as you like. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>She grows in her sleep and gets bigger over night!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Holidays will become magical again. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>So it\u2019s important she has an outfit for every occasion then.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>First you will celebrate the 4^{th<\/sup> of July. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Picnics, lots of people, hand sani\u2026<\/em><\/strong>oh my!!!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n}

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Halloween and trick or treating comes next. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Please send us all lots of pics via text!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Baby gets her first bite of mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>All she has had is milk so far, so this is finally living!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Christmas is the best one yet. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Presents & memories you will never forget!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Valentines Day she\u2019ll be dressed in hearts and pink. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>She will receive cards from boys sooner than you think!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

No more green beer on St. Patty\u2019s Day. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>We are grown ups now and you won\u2019t care any way!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

By Easter she could be crawling. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>If she\u2019s not.. don\u2019t start bawling.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Babies will go at their own pace. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Be patient and always keep a big smile on your face!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Being a mom is the most wonderful thing you will ever do. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Somehow you learn to manage your time more efficiently than you ever knew!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Sleepless nights, crying, and diapers galore. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>You will love her more and more.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Her First Birthday will too soon be here. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Her laugh will be the best sound you will ever hear!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Enjoy every moment Mom & Dad, take it all in! \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>This incredible journey of parenthood is just about to begin!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
